“We have a better system,” says Representative Joseph Pavlov in response to the issues raised by Governor Whitmer in her final State of the State address. The governor wants to raise taxes for fixing the roads, but the House Republicans want to spend existing funds more efficiently. Governor Whitmer continues to brag about record high per-pupil spending, but Representative Pavlov points out that Michigan is falling behind even more states in national educational rankings. The people of Michigan have rejected far-left ideologies and policies, and it’s catching on. Still, more work needs to be done.
